38.5 Week Appt

Sorry no pic this time, just an update...

Everything is going well. Our little girl is growing and is estimated to be about 7 pounds right now. Jean (our mid-wife) doesn't think she'll be as big as Cash. Baby Girl Kemp, however, decided to move and be face-up currently so I have instructions to do lots of crawling around to avoid back labor. I started doing this as soon as we got home and not only does Cash think it's FANTASTIC but so does Chief. I think Jean prescribed this for their joy alone :)

Amy, just for you, nope no contractions yet. But I didn't feel anything with Cash until the big day so I'm not surprised. Jean doesn't anticipate our little girl coming anytime soon, so hopefully when I go back to see her next week all my crawling around will have been productive.

Let The Beatings Begin

So apparently our son is a bully - oh joy. Not only is he much larger than all the other kids his age but he pulls hair, pushes down and actually hit a kid all in one day - no scratch that - all in one hour. Today while I was in Relief Society and Janson had Cash he got to all the other boys in the hallway. Apparently Chief has been great for Cash for lots of things but teaching him to be gentle isn't one of them. I think I know what we'll be working on this week. Heaven knows our new little girl probably won't enjoy any of the violent behavior shown today.

Bowling for New Years

We were invited to go bowling with the Cook family Saturday and had a ball (ha!). I didn't really think about it before but we took our little boy who loves balls to the mecca of heavy-smash-your-fingers balls. He was a bit frustrated for a while but had some happy times as well, especially when he discovered the air blowing out of the hand dryer :) Janson wouldn't let me use anything heavier than an 8 pound ball (let the teasing begin) but baby girl Kemp is still where she was when we started to bowl so I guess it was a smart move. Good times.
