Lunch Time

Before I was a mom there were many things I would NEVER do. I don't want to list them all now, because seriously, it was just a problem. One of the things I said I would NEVER do was to let my children eat anywhere other than the kitchen or the table. All you moms are laughing at me now because when children are really small, or picky eaters, or whatever it can be REALLY hard to keep that rule.

Well, I've been a slacker and I've let my kids become snackers. Which means meal times are very difficult and unstructured. Which for my kids, has become a problem. I've decided, starting this week, all meals will be at the table. Of course there will be a snack after nap/quiet time but other than that, everything is eaten at the table. This week, that snack has been eaten outside because it's been such beautiful weather, so I figure that's okay :)

Here are my two Little Sweets at their table for lunch.

Today they had: carrots, apples, cheese and gluten free animal crackers. Yum!

Here's Cash's plate. He already finished half his apples before I got the camera out.

I love to compare his and Chloe's plates. Cash keeps all his food organized, and eats his food one group at a time. All the apples, then all the cheese and so on. This, by the way, is exactly how Janson eats. Chloe; however, can't even finish a slice of apple before she's already munching on something else. She also never finishes anything, not a slice of apple or an entire carrot. I won't say where she got that from. :)

Sundays at Our House

Any Mormon Mama can tell you that Sundays are hard; rewarding, but hard. We have church from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. It's a very hard schedule with two little ones. And Janson and I both teach on Sundays so the mornings can be pretty hectic.

By the time we get home our kids are tired and hungry, and we aren't far behind. We usually come home, change into jammies and head to the kitchen for some food. After that, it's a bunch of family play time. My favorite part of the weekend. Today I finally got some pictures of the finer moments. Enjoy.

"Chloe, go sit down and finish your dinner."

"Nope."

Dad's can make all the noises that make little boys laugh.

Dinner's over! Time to tackle Dad...Yup, there's his eye!

 I found his nose!

After abusing Dad, you always have to repay him with kisses.

Veggie Tales puts everyone in a cuddly mood.

Dad snuck in a nap. And Cash snuck in some yoga.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Chloe and Yaya

Chloe has a sweet little friend, Maya. Chloe calls Maya "Yaya". We love it!

Chloe and Maya are only a couple days apart in age. We even had their first birthday party together.

For the past few weeks Chloe and Maya have had play dates. It's been GREAT, it's been subtraction by addition. They have so much fun playing together. If I tell Chloe she gets to play with Maya I better be prepared to leave then, because she is. This week when I told her, she grabbed her blanket and headed to the door while saying, "Yaya, Yaya!". So. Dang. Cute!

Here they are at Maya's house.
Poor Chloe, I tried to give her a pony tail that day. Epic fail.

Already study buddies :)

I love that Maya is leaning in and smiling for the camera. Sweet girl!

This one is from yesterday.

They had just been running around outside like little yahoos and they needed to come in for water and they brought their snacks with them. I don't know why Chloe is scowling. Maybe because I'm interrupting a very important conversation just between friends, no mom's allowed.

Love you "Yaya"!

Chloe's Latest Favorite Toy

My children change favorite toys by the day. But this one was too good to pass up getting a picture of. This is an outside summer toy. Chloe found it while we were packing. Dad was good enough to blow it up and allow it indoors for a couple days. As you can see, it went/stayed everywhere with Chloe. When we told her it couldn't come to church with us, she was sorely disappointed.

Love her!

One Step at a Time

The exciting part is the contract pending addition to the sign :)
